Marked increase in self-esteem and self-confidence. Positive interactions with staff and peers in resolving issues to do with the project. Enhanced their reputations among staff and peers, especially after final publication. Demonstrated the ability to work confidently and competently as part of a team or as an individual. Had to show initiative as well as a etermination to finish tasks so the rest of the team were supported.. Developed the ability to work under pressure to meet personal and team/project deadlines.
Had to opportunity to have ownership of a complex enterprise /business project from start to finish. Built up the trust of staff and peers. Improved attendance and behaviour were evident as the project progressed. IT skills were significantly developed meaning they would become attractive propositions for prospective employers. Some gained there places on College and other courses through the evidence of success and work ethic as a result of the project.
Learnt to make informed individual and team decisions and then work out strategies to arrive at a solution/outcome.
